Southern Europe

INTPOW has defined the south of Europe as the European Mediterranean Rim – excluding the south-eastern European countries, including Turkey. The governments of Spain, Italy, France and Portugal place great emphasis on the European Union 20-20-20 targets and are, therefore, countries in which the regulations have been geared to facilitate strong growth in the development of renewable energy generation.
