Center for Renewable Energy

The Centre for Renewable Energy (SFFE) combines the competence of the Norwegian research institutes NTNU, SINTEF and IFE in the field of renewable energy. The centre thereby represents the strongest research competence in the field of renewable energy in Norway, with over 250 researchers and 75 PhDs working in the field of renewable energy research.
 



Research fields include hydropower, wind power, solar energy, offshore renewable energy, bioenergy, as well as the social dimensions of energy use.

In association with Norwegian industry, SFFE aims to contribute to strategies and knowledge for the innovation and development of new renewable energy technologies. The principal aim of this cooperation is to improve the environment as well as creating value.
